Euphoria to Bring a Generation of Indian Indie Memories Back to Life in Dubai This September

Led by Palash Sen, the pioneering Indian rock band will perform at Hard Rock Cafe, Dubai Festival City, on 17 September 2026 in a one-night concert presented by Milestone Entertainment and Knite Entertainment

Dubai,  Before streaming platforms, personalised playlists and algorithms decided what came next, there were songs people discovered on music television, carried on CDs and cassettes, played on long drives and sang together at college festivals.

For millions who came of age in India through the late 1990s and early 2000s, Euphoria was part of that soundtrack.

This September, some of those memories will have a stage again.

Euphoria, led by singer and frontman Palash Sen, will perform live in Dubai on 17 September 2026 at Hard Rock Cafe, Dubai Festival City, for a special one-night concert brought to the UAE by Milestone Entertainment and Knite Entertainment.

Under the theme “Back Then. Live Again.”, the concert has been conceived not simply as a return to a familiar catalogue, but as a reunion between a band and an audience that has travelled through life with its music.

Songs including “Maaeri”, “Dhoom Pichak Dhoom”, “Aana Meri Gali” and “Ab Na Jaa” occupy a distinctive place in India’s independent-music story. They arrived during an era when non-film music commanded mainstream cultural attention and artists could build identities outside the Hindi film soundtrack.

Euphoria became one of the defining acts of that movement.

Led by Sen, the band developed a sound that brought Hindi songwriting together with rock instrumentation and Indian musical influences — an approach that became closely associated with Euphoria and the term Hind-rock.

Nearly three decades later, the songs have outlived the format in which many listeners first discovered them.

For an Indian diaspora audience in Dubai, that gives the September concert a significance that goes beyond nostalgia. The people returning to these songs today are no longer necessarily the teenagers or university students who first heard them. They have built careers, families and lives across different countries — while the music has remained connected to a particular time, friendship or memory.

Ajay Kanjani of Milestone Entertainment said:

“Euphoria is not simply a band many of us listened to; their music is connected to a period of our lives. A song can suddenly take you back to your college days, your friends, a road trip or a moment you had almost forgotten. We wanted this Dubai concert to capture that feeling — not just bring an artist to the city, but bring those memories back into the room.”

Euphoria’s longevity also distinguishes the band in an Indian music landscape that has changed dramatically since its breakthrough. Through shifting music formats, the decline of the traditional independent-pop industry and the arrival of streaming, the group has continued to perform live and retain an audience across generations.

Its history has included performances well beyond India, including landmark appearances at the United Nations General Assembly Hall in New York, the Beale Street Music Festival in Memphis, and performances across cities including Dubai, Abu Dhabi, London, Toronto, Los Angeles, Sydney, Moscow and Hong Kong.

But it is the live stage that has remained central to Euphoria’s identity.

Sen has repeatedly described the connection between band and audience as essential to Euphoria’s music — an exchange in which familiar songs often become collective singalongs rather than conventional performances.

That relationship is precisely what the Dubai show intends to recreate.

Nitesh Manghnani of Knite Entertainment said:

“Dubai has an extraordinary South Asian audience, but what makes this concert special is that the connection with Euphoria cuts across age groups. Some people will come because these were the songs they grew up with; others have discovered them much later. ‘Back Then. Live Again.’ is about putting everyone in the same room and letting live music do the rest.”

The setting at Hard Rock Cafe, Dubai Festival City has been deliberately chosen for an evening centred on live music and proximity between the band and its audience.

Rather than treating nostalgia as something to simply look back on, the organisers say the intention is to allow audiences to experience those songs again in the form in which Euphoria has always been at its strongest — live, on stage, with a crowd singing back.

On 17 September, Dubai will not simply revisit a playlist.

For one night, it gets to live it again.
