The 3rd International Indo Arab Conference of Medicine (IIACM) 2023, held at the Dubai Campus of Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS), concluded successfully on May 22, 2023. The conference focused on the theme of “Management of Diseases/Health through Wellness and Diet” and brought together healthcare professionals and experts from around the world to discuss holistic approaches to health.
The inauguration ceremony featured the traditional lighting of the oil lamp, symbolizing the beginning of an enlightening journey. Dr. Sanjay Paithankar delivered the opening remarks, followed by a speech by Prof. Srinivasan Madapusi, Director of BITS Dubai Campus, emphasizing the importance of collaboration between educational institutes and the medical industry for progress in healthcare. There was special felicitation for guest by Marathi Mandal Dubai.
The event welcomed esteemed guests, including Dr. Anil Bonde, former Minister of Agriculture, Maharashtra, who delivered an inspiring speech on the benefits of incorporating millets into the diet and Prime Minister Shree Narendra Modi’s vision to promote millets for improving health and the economy. Shree Bakul Mehta, Managing Director of Muscat Pharmacy and Stores LLC, attended as a Special Guest, appreciating the efforts of Medcon FZC, Right Health, and BITS Pilani Dubai campus for organizing a conference focused on disease management through the preventive approach of the Millet Diet.
Guest of Honor Shree Sunil Deodhar, National Secretary of BJP, discussed Prime Minister Shree Narendra Modi’s vision to position India as a health hub and promote innovation in economics through government policies. Special Guest Shree Manish Avasthi, a renowned TV anchor and journalist, focused on the critical analysis of healthcare sector initiatives and their impact on global communities. Dr. Sunil Manjarekar, President of GMBF, expressed his views on creating healthcare excellence between UAE and India. Management team Marathi Mandal has also felicitated the dignitaries.
