Legendary batsman and former West Indies captain Brian Lara has confirmed his participation in the Global T20 Canada which schedule from July 20.
As the ambassador for the third edition of the tournament, Lara is eagerly awaiting its start.
Talking about this, he said that some of the best T20 players around the world will participate in this tournament, including Pakistan’s Muhammad Rizwan, apart from Boom Boom Afridi, Lara has included Harbhajan Singh, Shakib Al Hasan and Chris Gayle in this list.
The six teams participating in this year’s edition are the Toronto Nationals, Brampton Wolves, Montreal Tigers and Vancouver Knights, Surrey Jaguars and Mississauga Panthers, and the latter two teams will be playing for the first time.
Many players including Pakistan’s Shoaib Malik will be seen in action in the tournament.
