AJMAN: Chai Shai Restaurant & Café hosted an elegant literary evening titled “Khushboo, Khat aur Faraz,” paying tribute to the timeless poetry, literary legacy and artistic contribution of renowned Urdu poet Ahmad Faraz.
Conceptualised and hosted by Dr. Noor Ul Sabah, Founder and CEO of Chai Shai, the event brought together leading poets, literary enthusiasts, musicians and members of the UAE’s business and community circles for an evening dedicated to Urdu literature and culture.
The programme featured a traditional Mushaira, live Ghazal performances, music and the much-appreciated Taht-ul-Lafz, creating a rich and immersive atmosphere for lovers of Urdu poetry.
The Mushaira was held under the presidency of Dr. Sabahat, with Aashi serving as Mezban-e-Mehfil. Renowned poets Abrar Umar, Suleiman Jazib, Malik Irfan and Niloufer Afzal presented their poetry and captivated the audience with their distinctive styles.
The Taht-ul-Lafz segment was presented by Nibras Sohail and Sardar Faraz, while Ali Rao and Sardar Faraz entertained the gathering with live musical performances. Adeel Riaz, accompanied by Rahul on tabla, delivered a special live Ghazal performance that was warmly appreciated by the audience.
The literary evening was also attended by Haroon Chaudhry, Visa Counsellor at the Consulate General of Pakistan in Dubai, along with prominent personalities from the UAE’s literary, business and community circles.
A special highlight of the evening was the presentation of Nibras Sohail’s book “Parwaz” to Dr. Noor Ul Sabah, adding another meaningful literary dimension to the gathering.
The event also featured special paan pops contributed by Farah Nabeel Haider, while Sahil Videography documented the memorable moments of the evening.
“Khushboo, Khat aur Faraz” concluded on a graceful note, successfully bringing together Urdu poetry, Ghazal, music and cultural expression under one roof. The evening reflected Chai Shai’s commitment to promoting literature, art and cultural activities within the UAE’s diverse community.
